Configurations of tree elements

My digital paintings consist of a series of layered configurations comprising detailed elements of a diversity of trees. The images in these compositions focus primarily on the history of each tree and its shifting appearance caused by growth, aging, climate impact, exposure to natural elements, contact with wildlife, and manipulation by a human population. These collective impacts result in the formation of unique natural beauty.
The viewer is invited to develop an understanding of a tree’s life experience rather than simply acknowledging a static photograph of a tree or part of a tree.
